Blog Beginnings

It’s been seven months since I traded in the Jcrew teacher discount for my Lulu Lemon uniform and somehow I’m just now starting a blog?  I was always under the impression, you have a baby…you start a blog...so what’s taken me so long? For starters, coming up with a name took a little more time than I thought. It ends up, everyone’s favorite things include cupcakes, champagne, and hydrangeas so I had to switch gears and go the adjective route. Then, I had to learn how to work my camera. I’m not the best photographer and we all know pictures are the best part. So, that brings me to this past weekend when I really kicked it into high gear and started documenting our every move with photos. …And so the journey of sharing our lives with others begins…

Family Fall Festivities
I'm pleased to present the award for the "Prettiest Weekends of the Year" and it goes to....October! The sun, the temperature, October got everything right! It might have rained the weekend of the Texas/OU game, but it's hard to argue that there's anything prettier than the Longhorns walking away with their best win of the season! Unfortunately, a pretty weekend in Brian's mind means Birdies and Bogies so after giving him time for golf the first three weekends, he knew the last one belonged to me and Graham.
And we couldn't think of a better way to spend it than doing all the cliché family fall festivities. We started our morning off at the pumpkin patch looking for the perfect pumpkin to carve. Graham made choosing a pumpkin a difficult decision since he was clearly the cutest one in the patch.

After weeks of ooohhing and aahhing over all the cute pumpkin patch pictures on facebook with babies staring wide eyed into the camera with that million dollar smile on their face, Graham made me well aware that I'm going to have to learn to appreciate the candid shots.

Graham's so glad we're taking a picture of the moment he "found his tongue." He decided to twist and chomp on it during most of our photo session.

Can't get enough of this little G!

There's always something more exciting to look at than Mom and Sophie.

Happy Halloween!! Love, The Caddells

After the pumpkin patch, we picked up some sandwiches for a picnic at the Wall of Water.

Our picnic wasn't complete without BUBBLES!!

If Brian could have a redo on those other weekends where he played golf, I bet he'd choose to do the pumpkin patch and a picnic next time. I'm thankful for sweet little Graham and the chance to make new memories.

Stay tuned for pumpkin carving and banana pumpkin muffins...yum!
